Greetings!
In this increasingly digital world, MDDTimes is not just another portal to bombard you with repetitive news and annoying ads. Instead, it aims to empower you with important information with simplicity and accuracy as focus. We hope we succeed, especially with our “readers first” policy and your feedback.
About MDDTimes – One of the companies under the MDD Group, MDDTimes has been founded with the objective of providing information, ie, news and analysis that matter in a way that is easy to comprehend and use. While our coverage will include international affairs, our focus will be on India, so will be any natural bias. Mostly with a macro view, we believe business and politics, arts and science, and so on are all related. Hence, we hope you find unique insights and thought-provoking articles at MDDTimes. Readers like you are an integral part of our work and the very basis of our existence. We look forward to receiving your feedback to evolve and improve, and patronage to succeed in our endeavour to contribute towards making his world a better place to live in.
Here is a brief description about the various sections.
News and analysis – as the name suggests, this section is about news and analysis, but news will be filtered to most important and crucial. We will provide top headlines at regular intervals of the day – at times sourced from third parties. However, our analysis will be unique and so will be our interviews. All important, evolving and unresolved news will be highlighted in the “Focus” section.
“Opinion” will carry our editorials, while “Comment” will carry often counter views by experts and prominent stakeholders. All views will be personal unless stated otherwise.
Picture of the day – will carry cartoons and pictures that convey more than words. This will also showcase contributions from our readers when deemed fit by the editorial team.
Readers’ impact – this is for those who consider media as the last resort to highlight the injustice meted out to them – be it by the government, employers, law or media. We will highlight concerns, including corruption, racism and bullying, in workplace or outside, and will follow those up as threads. We intend to hide information such as name and address of the reader if he/she wishes so. We understand no organisation is perfect and there could be serious lapses by an individual or a group. Hence, we may take down the articles once the reader’s concerns have been addressed satisfactorily.
Health, Education, Agriculture and Defence – all important focus points at MDDTimes, these will mostly highlight policy-related news and its impact. There will also be scientific breakthroughs and business-related news – such as about agri commodities and comparisons within and outside India. Under Education – Learning, we look to provide old world charms like comic strips, jokes, quizzes and magic tricks.
Business & Economy – the fulcrum of progress, we will highlight news and analysis about stocks, budget, Sensex, financial institutions, rates, banks, companies, products, retail network, trade, etc, along with macro and micro views and notifications on the economy. Interviews will be featured regularly.
Four pillars – will cover crucial information about legislature, executive, judiciary, and media – the most powerful instruments in a democracy. Parliamentary and assembly updates and party manifestos will be highlighted regularly.
International – news and events taking place in other countries, especially the development models, will feature in this section.
Features – There are five sub-sections under this. Life: will carry articles that improve our lives – both mental and physical – such as on life lessons, wisdom, food, travel, family concerns, and living spaces. Spiritual: will delve into the highest realm with articles on various religions and mythology. Astrology: besides daily, weekly and yearly reports based on mostly sun signs and vedic astrology, the Astroworld sub-section will also cover other topics like tarot, numerology, palmistry, Chinese astrology, and related astronomy. Under Features, you will also find environment and other articles related to nature under the Nature sub-section. And the Art sub-section will cover everything that is artistic, including film reviews and poetry.
Sports – Besides live updates on major sporting events, we look to provide quizzes and puzzles for our readers to solve and share. Further, we will cover news about state-level sporting events and interviews with budding athletes.
Advertisement policy – While we depend on advertisements to fund our enterprise, we have several guidelines to ensure our readers have the best experience in reading our articles. Initially, in order to have more control on the ads we publish, we will not give our space to third-party publishers like some search engines. We also have certain curbs like avoiding abrupt videos, browsing history based, and full page/screen ads.
Data policy – Our aim is to collect no data from our readers. This is the reason we do not have any kind of mandatory registration. For comments under our articles, we urge readers to email their inputs to feedback@mddtimes.com, which we will publish after screening. The information provided via emails will be voluntary and not collected unless required and with permission.
Readers first policy – Our work is/will be reader-centric. This will be our foremost aim and guiding force, always.
